Madera Irrigation District to Begin  Water Deliveries

The Madera Irrigation District  (MID or District) water season will begin on May 4, 2026, depending on location.   At a meeting held on April 21, 2026 the rate was set to $110 per acre foot for Original  District landowners and $220 per acre foot for Subordinate landowners.  These rates may be reviewed and adjusted as conditions change throughout the year. With a current allocation of 100% Class 1 water, MID expects a full water season, hopefully continuing into the beginning of August.

MID growers must fill out a CropWater Application and order water prior to taking deliveries, the availabiity and timing will be location dependent. MID is accepting  Crop Water Applications now.  To sign up or to order water, please contact the office at (559)673-3514 or at MID 12152 Road 28 1\4, Madera, CA.   Crop Water Applications will be accepted in-person  and via email. 

The District would also like to remind growers that they can view their water usage and account balances online via WaterUI.  If you need log-in assistance, please contact MID at 559-673-3514.
