MID Receives Approximately $1 Million for Pipeline Projects
December 5, 2024
Madera Irrigation District (MID or District) has received funding of almost $1 million for pipeline projects from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). MID, in partnership with NRCS, applied for and received financial support for six (6) pipeline projects. These projects are located throughout the District and will be completed over a multi-year span.
“MID is thrilled with the NRCS partnership it has established over the years. Opportunities, such as this, are possible through collaboration. Funding for these necessary projects puts money back in the pockets of MID landowners, who will now not have to pay for the construction of these vital pieces of infrastructure” stated Jim Erickson, MID Board President.
MID is scheduled to begin construction on these critical pipelines in 2025. In addition to these projects, MID has an extensive list of maintenance, repair, and construction projects that its skilled staff is undertaking during the 2024-2025 maintenance season, ensuring facilities are ready for the next water season.
