Madera Irrigation District is made up of five Divisions with one Board of Director representing each division.  The Board of Directors are elected at-large, but must reside within the division they are to represent.  A large segment of the City of Madera is included within the District.  Each registered voter that resides within the City has an opportunity to vote for the Director of choice or may opt to run for the directorship.
